Rotari and the Trentodoc Tradition
Rotari is the sparkling-wine brand of the Mezzacorona group in Trentino, based around the Piana Rotaliana and the Adige Valley at the foot of the Dolomites, and its wines carry the Trentodoc seal — the appellation created for traditional-method sparkling wine from Trentino. Per the producer, the fruit is hand-selected and hand-picked, only the free-run must is used, the base wines are made in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation, and the second fermentation happens in the same bottle the wine is sold in. The producer lists this Brut among its awarded wines, including a Mundus Vini 2024 Gold and Best of Show Trentodoc. Tasting Notes
The producer describes ripe yellow fruit with lemon and bergamot citrus, plus bread-crust and sweet-almond hints from the bottle ageing; the mousse is soft and creamy, the texture rich, and the finish long and persistent. The US importer adds a fresh, intense, fruity bouquet and fine, persistent bubbles.
How to Enjoy
Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C, in a white-wine glass or flute. It is a natural aperitif and pairs well with oysters and shellfish, sushi, fried appetizers, soft cheeses, and light pasta dishes. For more bottles in this style, see our sparkling wine and Champagne collection.
