Rabbit Hole Bespoke Gin
Rabbit Hole Bespoke Gin is a 750mL gin at 44.5% ABV (89 proof) — a London Dry gin brought to Louisville, Kentucky and finished in the same hand-selected barrels that aged Rabbit Hole's Boxergrail Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey: new American oak, toasted and charred in wood-fired furnaces by Kelvin Cooperage. The rye-barrel finish mellows the gin, adds spice, and gives it its light honey-gold colour — this is a barrel-finished gin, and it pours gold, not clear. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

A Bourbon House Goes Down the Gin Hole
Rabbit Hole made its name on Kentucky whiskey — founder and whiskey maker Kaveh Zamanian's design-led Louisville distillery — and Bespoke, launched in spring 2020 as the brand's first product outside American whiskey, treats gin the whiskey way: take a London Dry gin, lay it down in freshly emptied rye barrels, and let the oak do the talking. Explore the distillery on the Rabbit Hole vendor page or browse more gin and spirits.
Tasting Notes
From the distillery's official notes: citrus, honeysuckle and elderflower with a hint of nutmeg, juniper and lemongrass among the aromatics; a lemongrass-led, soft and creamy palate; and a honey-ginger finish.
How to Enjoy
Its rye-barrel warmth makes it a gin for whiskey drinkers: try it in a barrel-aged-style gin and tonic with an orange twist, a Martinez, or neat over one large cube where the honey and spice can show.
Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it gold? Nine to twelve months (per the launch release) in toasted, charred new American oak rye barrels gives the gin its light honey-gold colour and its spice.
