The Street That Named the Whisky
"Huddart" is the street in Wick, Scotland, on which Pulteney Distillery stands — and the name of Captain Joseph Huddart, whose maps and charts the British Fisheries Society used to lay out Pulteneytown and its harbour. Launched in the distillery's mid-2018 core-range overhaul alongside the 12, 15 and 18 Year Olds, Huddart was the range's designated peated offering — peat arriving through the cask, not the spirit. Tasting Notes
Nose: sea spray and malt over a wisp of bonfire smoke. Palate: the classic Pulteney honey-and-citrus core with an undercurrent of peat smoke and spice from the finish.
