Truchard Vineyard, in the heart of Carneros, is one of the house's defining sites: 270 acres of rolling, breezy ground prized for its long, even ripening, where the winery selects eight sections planted on volcanic ash and rock with a southwestern exposure. Tasting Notes
The winery's notes for the 2015: ripe pineapple, honeysuckle and crushed stone on the nose; pear, crushed pineapple and Meyer lemon on the palate with nutty toasted oak and minerality; bright acidity around a broadly textured, creamy midpalate the winery calls a signature of this vineyard; and a long, flavourful finish.
