Gallo's Vodka, Built on Five Distillations
When Gallo launched New Amsterdam Vodka in 2011, it became one of the fastest-growing vodka brands in US history — trade press reported a million cases in its first year. The formula is Gallo-simple: quality grain, five distillations, three filtrations, and a clean, crisp profile with a soft finish, pitched at drinkers who want a dependable cocktail base without a luxury markup. Find it in our vodka range, browse the wider spirits shelf, or visit the New Amsterdam vendor page.
Tasting Notes
Character: The producer publishes no formal tasting-note sheet for the Original; its own copy characterises it as clean and crisp with a soft finish — a neutral, smooth cocktail vodka by design.
How to Enjoy
An all-purpose cocktail base: Mules, cosmos, vodka sodas and brunch Bloody Marys. Its soft finish also makes it the right pick for infusions — drop in citrus peel or chiles and let the clean spirit do the carrying.
