Luc Belaire Rose
Luc Belaire Rose is a 750mL French sparkling rosé bottled at 12.5% ABV, made from grapes grown in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in the south of France — 90% Syrah, 5% Grenache and 5% Cinsault, the classic rosé grapes of the region. A 100% Syrah liqueur de dosage gives it its deep, vibrant pink colour, and six months in steel tanks by the Charmat method keep the profile fresh and fruit-forward, at 25 g/L of residual sugar. It pours from Belaire's black bottle with pink-accented foil. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

The Black Bottle That Started the Range
This is the wine the Belaire range was built on — the "Rare Rosé" in the black bottle, crafted by fifth- and sixth-generation father-and-son (Piffaut family) winemakers at a maison established in 1898, from Provence fruit: Syrah for colour and roundness, Grenache for body and warmth, Cinsault for its cherry-blossom lift. The all-Syrah dosage is the colourist's trick, setting the deep pink before the Charmat ageing keeps everything tasting of fresh red fruit. Browse the range on the Luc Belaire vendor page and in our sparkling wine collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the brand's notes: a rich red-fruit bouquet; strawberry and blackcurrant on the palate; refreshing rather than overly sweet, with fine, delicate, persistent bubbles; and a smooth, elegant finish.
How to Enjoy
Serve at about 6°C on its own, over ice with fresh fruit, or with charcuterie and berry desserts. More rosé is in our rosé wine collection and across our wine collection.
