Logsdon Peche 'n Brett 2019
Logsdon Peche 'n Brett 2019 is a 500mL bottle of the Oregon-born farmhouse brewery's oak-aged Brett ale refermented on ripe peaches, bottled at 8.5% ABV for the 2019 vintage. It starts as Oak Aged Seizoen Bretta — Logsdon's oak-aged saison fermented with Brettanomyces — before a long secondary fermentation on Hood River Valley peaches at about 1.5 pounds of fruit per gallon. Bottles from this transitional 2019 vintage are increasingly hard to find, and this one is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

A Farmhouse Classic from the Wyeast Founder's Brewery
David Logsdon founded Wyeast Laboratories before turning to brewing on his Hood River farm in 2009, releasing Logsdon's first batches in 2011. The certified-organic brewery built its reputation on Brettanomyces and mixed-culture farmhouse ales, and Peche 'n Brett became its signature fruit beer — an earlier vintage took Gold at the 2012 World Beer Cup in the American-Style Brett Ale category and Silver at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival. The brewery relocated to Washougal, Washington in 2018 while Hood River operations continued into 2019, making this vintage a snapshot of a brewery between two homes. Tasting Notes
Built on oak-aged Seizoen Bretta and months on ripe peaches, the 2019 pours with ripe stone-fruit character over the base beer's oak and Brett funk, finishing dry — the balance of fruit, oak and farmhouse tartness that made this one of America's defining Brett ales.
How to Enjoy
Serve cool, around cellar temperature, in a tulip glass, and pour gently to leave the bottle's natural sediment behind. More farmhouse and mixed-culture releases are in our craft beer collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Brettanomyces?
A wild yeast used alongside brewer's yeast in farmhouse brewing. In Peche 'n Brett it drives the beer's dry, funky, lightly tart character during oak ageing and peach refermentation.
Is Peche 'n Brett a lambic?
No — it is an American farmhouse ale in the saison tradition, fermented with cultivated Brettanomyces, not a spontaneously fermented Belgian lambic.
Why is the 2019 vintage special?
It is the last vintage era from the brewery's Hood River farm period, released as Logsdon moved its operations to Washington — a transitional bottling that is no longer being made in this form.
