The Gold Standard of the Margarita Shelf
Especial Gold is the golden pour behind generations of Margaritas — Cuervo positions it as the popular choice for Margaritas, frozen or on the rocks, and calls Jose Cuervo the #1 tequila brand in the world. Its gold colour and mellow, oak-kissed sweetness come from its blend of younger tequilas, built for mixing first: this is the bottle that turned the Margarita into a household drink. Find the wider range on the Jose Cuervo vendor page and stock the rest of the bar from our tequila collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the producer: a sweet aroma with pleasant agave character; a sweet, subtle agave flavour with hints of oak and vanilla; and a well-balanced, short, smooth finish.
How to Enjoy
Built for the Margarita — shake with lime and orange liqueur, on the rocks or frozen — and equally at home in a tequila sunrise or a ranch-style highball. More mixing tequilas are waiting in our tequila collection.
