In 2022 Irish Distillers relaunched Jameson 18 Years inside and out: the proof rose from 40% to 46% ABV, removing the need for chill filtration and giving the whiskey a richer mouthfeel and more depth of flavour, while the heavy wooden presentation box gave way to a lightweight, fully recyclable cardboard box with foil accents and a QR code linking to a guided tasting with Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. The whiskey itself is unchanged in structure — three Midleton distillates, eighteen years in American and Spanish oak, married in first-fill American oak — now simply bottled the way connoisseurs asked for it. Tasting Notes

Per the brand: a mellow, spicy, smooth nose with toffee, dried apricot and caramelised apple; a full, smooth palate of toffee and fudge sweetness, spice, leather and charred wood, with sherry nuttiness, dark chocolate, dried fruits and vanilla; and a long, warm finish with earthy, nutty notes, dark chocolate, dried fruit and toffee.
