Hennessy XO Lunar New Year 2026 by Xu Zhen is the flagship XO in Maison Hennessy's Year of the Horse collector's edition: the iconic XO carafe in limited-edition artwork by Chinese contemporary artist Xu Zhen. This 750mL bottle is 40% ABV (80 proof) and is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

The original XO was created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, and this edition pairs it with a vibrant red-and-gold label and dark red neck capsule with equine motifs, in an eco-designed cream gift box with gold accents. The cognac itself is a blend of 100+ eaux-de-vie aged up to 30 years in French Limousin oak — the deep, opulent end of the Hennessy range.

Tasting notes (retailer consensus): dried fruits, cocoa, candied orange peel, cinnamon, clove, and oak on the nose; a full-bodied palate of dark chocolate, prunes and figs, roasted almond, leather, nutmeg, and honeyed oak; an exceptionally long, velvety finish of warm spice and dried fruit.

Why buy the Hennessy XO 2026 Lunar New Year edition? Because the artist-edition XO carafes are the most collectible bottles Hennessy releases each year — and the 2026 Xu Zhen presentation is made for the Year of the Horse. Browse the full cognac collection, the Hennessy brand collection for VSOP and the rest of the range, or explore more aged spirits at Del Mesa Liquor.

Serving note: neat in a tulip glass at room temperature; decant for a special occasion.
