The Namesake Brand, Back at Seven Years
Heaven Hill released its first Bottled-in-Bond in 1939, and the namesake brand became the number-one-selling bourbon in Kentucky. The current seven-year expression launched in 2019, succeeding the Kentucky-only six-year bottling, from a family-owned distillery (the Shapira family, since 1935) that says it produces more Bottled-in-Bond spirits than anyone in America. The 1897 Act's rules still govern every bottle: one distilling season, bonded warehouses, nothing but water to bring it to exactly 100 proof. See the house on the Heaven Hill vendor page, or browse our bourbon whiskey collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the distillery: golden amber in the glass; aromas of vanilla, honey, and rich caramel sweetness; a smooth, warm palate of caramel, honey, oak, and char with subtle rye spice; a long, lingering finish.
How to Enjoy
Neat or with one cube — at 100 proof it has the structure for a serious Old Fashioned or a high-proof Manhattan. More bonded bourbons are in our bourbon whiskey collection.
