Twenty-five years rest predominantly in bespoke "designer" bourbon casks — slow-growth American white oak, air-dried and heavily toasted to Lumsden's specification — married with a small portion finished in Malmsey Madeira casks, recalling Glenmorangie's pioneering 1995 Madeira Wood Finish, the world's first Madeira-finished single malt.
