Rothes Elegance, Eighteen Years Deep
Glen Grant has distilled in Rothes since 1840, when brothers John and James Grant licensed a distillery known for a light, clear spirit drawn from tall stills and purifiers. The 18 Year Old sits near the top of the core range, trading the younger expressions' orchard brightness for oak depth and dried fruit — and collecting serious honours along the way, including Jim Murray's Scotch Whisky of the Year category title across the 2017–2020 Whisky Bible editions. Explore the distillery on the Glen Grant vendor page, or browse our Scotch whisky collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the brand: a bright-gold malt with a rich, floral aroma touched by oak and baking spice; a malty caramel palate with dried raisins and vanilla; and a long, sweet finish with nuts and spice.
How to Enjoy
Pour it neat in a tulip glass and give it a few minutes — the dried-raisin and vanilla depth is the point of the extra years. A few drops of water soften the oak without thinning the finish. More aged Speyside malts are in our Scotch whisky collection.
