Glen Grant 15 Year Old is a 50% ABV, 750mL single malt Scotch whisky from Rothes, Speyside — the Batch Strength First Edition, matured for fifteen years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled non-chill-filtered. Released for the American market in 2018 at a higher proof than its 12 and 18 Year Old siblings, it is Glen Grant's orchard fruit at full strength. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Glen Grant at Full Strength

Where the 12 Year Old is bottled for brightness at 43%, the 15 Year Old Batch Strength turns the same tall-still, purifier-shaped Glen Grant spirit up to 50% and leaves it non-chill-filtered, so the first-fill bourbon casks speak louder — more honey, more spice, more body over the distillery's signature orchard fruit. It was crafted under Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm for the US market. Set it beside its sibling in our Scotch whisky collection, explore the whisky range, or see the distillery on the Glen Grant vendor page.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Floral — orange, apple, honeydew melon, caramel, oak and heather. Palate: Vanilla, honey and apricot marmalade with sweet malt and baking spice; spiced pear and apricot through the middle. Finish: Long and malty — honey, apple and soft spice with a nutty edge.

How to Enjoy

Neat first to feel the batch strength, then with a teaspoon of water — at 50% and non-chill-filtered it opens considerably, bringing the apricot and heather forward.
