A Bourbon Raised on the Farm That Made It
Colby and Ashley Frey founded the distillery in 2006 on their family's 1,500-acre farm in Fallon — land the Freys have farmed in northern Nevada for over 150 years, across five generations. The bourbon is the farm in a bottle: every grain in the mash is sustainably grown on the ranch, malted, double distilled, matured and bottled on site, which the brand describes as making it the only distillery in Nevada to grow 100% of its whiskey grains on-site. Nothing is sourced in or shipped out mid-process — a true farm distillery in the 36th state. See the rest of the range on the Frey Ranch vendor page and in our bourbon whiskey collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the producer's notes: oak and citrus aromas with honey, burnt orange peel and candied orange; a palate of vanilla and caramel leading to dried mint, banana chips, candy corn and dried hay; and a long finish of cedar, pepper and treacle.
How to Enjoy
Neat or with a splash of water to open the grain sweetness; the proof and body also carry a bourbon Old Fashioned comfortably. More Nevada and Western whiskey is across our whisky collection and spirits collection.
