Expresiones del Corazon Weller CYPB Reposado Tequila 2024
Expresiones del Corazon Weller CYPB Reposado Tequila 2024 is a limited-edition 80-proof (40% ABV), 750mL reposado rested at least nine months in barrels that previously held Weller's "Craft Your Perfect Bourbon" (C.Y.P.B.) — the annual collaboration between Corazón Tequila and Buffalo Trace Distillery that has run since 2013. Crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, it marries the soft, sweet profile of wheated bourbon wood with agave-forward Jalisco character, and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
Weller C.Y.P.B. was itself a fan-made whiskey — bourbon drinkers voted to "Craft Their Perfect Bourbon," choosing a wheated recipe aged on high warehouse floors. Those coveted barrels then crossed the border to Casa San Matías (NOM 1103) in the Jalisco highlands, where Corazón slow-cooks agave in stone ovens and mills it with a traditional tahona before resting the tequila in the ex-bourbon wood. The Expresiones del Corazón series is released in very limited quantities each year, and bottles are highly sought after by tequila and whiskey collectors alike.
Tasting notes: bright citrus, fresh mint, ginger, vanilla bean, and light caramel on the nose; smooth and balanced on the palate with cooked agave, dry fruit, baking spices, butterscotch, and gentle oak; a clean, lingering finish of minty freshness, subtle pepper, and toasted wood.
Why buy this Expresiones release? Because it is a true crossover bottle — wheated-bourbon vanilla and caramel layered over pure highland agave — from the annual series collectors chase. Browse the Corazon brand collection, more tequila, and the full spirits collection.
Serving note: sip neat in a Glencairn or rocks glass, excellent over a single large ice cube, or use it to elevate a Reposado Margarita or Tequila Old Fashioned.
