El Jimador Blanco Tequila is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL unaged blanco from Casa Herradura (NOM 1119) in Amatitan, Jalisco — 100% blue Weber agave harvested by hand, fermented and distilled on the estate, and bottled without oak so the agave arrives bright, citrusy and clean. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

  • ABV: 40% (80 proof)

Named for the Harvester

Every bottle of El Jimador starts with the person it is named after: the jimador, who reads each agave plant by eye and harvests it by hand with a coa blade, exactly as it has been done on the Herradura estate in Amatitan since 1870. The blanco is that harvest with nothing added and nothing taken away — no oak, no colour, just estate agave distilled and bottled fresh. It is the base expression the Reposado and Anejo are built from; see all three on the El Jimador vendor page or across the tequila collection.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh, rich citrus over cooked agave. Palate: Fruity and spicy, balanced with herbaceous notes and sweet agave. Finish: Warm and spicy, closing clean.

How to Enjoy

The Margarita and Paloma are its natural home, and its citrus lift makes a clean Ranch Water. Blanco purists can sip it chilled with a lime wedge — the estate agave carries the glass on its own.
