Don Julio 1942 Peggy Gou Limited Edition is an 80-proof (40% ABV), 750mL añejo tequila — 100% Blue Weber agave aged a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels at La Primavera Distillery in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco — bottled in Peggy Gou's limited-edition design for Don Julio 1942's first-ever global product collaboration, announced in 2025. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

The tequila is the icon itself: Don Julio 1942, produced in small batches in tribute to the year Don Julio González began his tequila-making journey, and scored 98 points by Wine Enthusiast. The remix is the bottle. Superstar DJ, producer, and style icon Peggy Gou reimagined it in mint green with deep-purple accents, a holographic "194구" logo — 구 is pronounced "Gou," a play on her name — and a reflective chrome cap; the presentation box carries her illustration and a personal message. Same legendary liquid, new collector's skin.

Tasting profile: rich caramel and chocolate on the nose; a warm, silky palate of roasted agave, vanilla, and oak layered with toffee and roasted nuts; a long finish of lingering oak, rich vanilla, and sweet warmth. Browse the Don Julio brand collection, more tequila, and the full spirits collection.

Serving note: neat in a snifter or over one large cube — the way 1942 is meant to be sipped, whether the bottle stays on the shelf or not.

Is the tequila inside different from regular Don Julio 1942? No — the liquid is the same small-batch 1942 añejo. Peggy Gou's collaboration is the bottle design, not a new formulation.

How long is Don Julio 1942 aged? A minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels — well past the one-year añejo minimum.

What does "194구" mean? It is the edition's logo: the Korean character 구 is pronounced "Gou," turning 1942 into a signature for Peggy Gou herself.

What is the ABV? 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL.
