Extra Añejo Tequila | 750mL | 41% ABV (82 proof) | Aged 10 Years — Don Camilo 10 Year Extra Anejo Tequila — Edition No 2, finished in French oak barrels — is a decade-long project: master distiller Arturo Fuentes Cortes distilled tequila from organic 100% blue Weber agave at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos (NOM 1472) and filled French oak barrels, trusting time to work its magic for ten full years. Available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego, CA.

A decade in oak is virtually unheard of for tequila — but it is Don Camilo's signature move, and the French oak refines rather than overwhelms: roasted agave and vanilla, toasted oak and subtle spice on the nose; caramel, dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warm French-oak tannins on the palate; a long, smooth, elegant finish with lingering sweetness and oak warmth. The brand is named for the father of a former Fabrica de Tequilas Finos owner — a great admirer of Mexican culture and keeper of an extraordinary rare tequila collection. A prestige tequila for drinkers who thought extra añejo had nothing left to prove.
