Cava Antigua Silver Tequila
Cava Antigua Silver Tequila is a 750mL blanco bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) — unaged 100% Blue Weber agave from Destiladora Los Magos (NOM 1431) in Tlajomulco de Zuniga, Jalisco, bottled directly after double distillation and presented in the house's hand-blown glass bottle. Intense cooked agave, citrus and tropical fruit over a silky texture: the foundation pour of the Cava Antigua range. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

The Range Before the Rest
Every Cava Antigua passes through the same making — autoclave-cooked agave selected, by the brand's account, at eight to ten years of maturity, roller-milled, fermented in stainless steel and double distilled in stainless pot stills at La Querencia — and the Silver is that spirit with nothing added by time. Gustavo Romero founded the brand in 1995 on a family tequila history the producer traces across five generations, and even the unaged expression gets the full presentation: blown glass built in 21 hand steps, a leather label applied by hand, bottles filled one by one. Compare it with the rested siblings on the Cava Antigua vendor page and in our tequila collection.
Tasting Notes
Per the producer's official notes: bright and luminous, silver-shaded, with a robust, viscous body; an aroma recognised for intense cooked agave with hints of citrus, white pepper, mango, apple, pear and sweet honeysuckle; an elegant, delicate palate with a silky mouthfeel; and a lingering, smooth sweetness to the end.
How to Enjoy
The Margarita and Paloma blanco of the house — the fruit register (mango, apple, pear) is built for citrus cocktails — and a clean neat pour for agave-first drinkers. More blancos are in our tequila collection and across our spirits collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cava Antigua Silver the same as a blanco?
Yes — Silver is this brand's name for its unaged blanco expression: double distilled and bottled without any barrel rest, so the flavour is cooked agave, fruit and pepper.
Where is Cava Antigua Silver made?
At Destiladora Los Magos, NOM 1431, factory La Querencia in Tlajomulco de Zuniga, Jalisco — the same distillery and production line as the brand's rested expressions.
