Catocho Aztec Ceramic Reposado Tequila is a 40% ABV, 750mL reposado rested 6–9 months in French oak — after the blanco itself rested a full year in stainless steel — presented in a hand-painted ceramic Aztec decanter by artist Berenice Hernandez. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Catocho cooks its agave slowly in a clay oven, extracts with a mechanical tahona and distils in copper pots — old, slow methods under master distiller Edgar Gustavo Barroso Hernandez at Destilería Santa Lucia in Zapopan, Jalisco, with agave sourced from Michoacán agriculture. The blanco rests a year in stainless steel before ever seeing oak, then the reposado takes 6–9 months in French oak. Each ceramic bottle is hand-painted, so no two decanters are exactly alike — an Aztec-iconography expression in the same artistic spirit collectors know from Mexico's great ceramic tequila bottles, produced additive-free.

Tasting profile: the clay-oven and tahona base gives a deep, earthy agave character, softened by the steel rest into something round and cooked-fruit sweet; the French oak adds gentle vanilla, toasted spice and a dry, elegant grip rather than American-oak sweetness. Serving note: sip neat at room temperature; keep the hand-painted decanter — it is the point of the bottle as much as the tequila.
