Casino Azul Anejo Ship Edition
Casino Azul Anejo Ship Edition is a 1.75L anejo tequila bottled at 40% ABV, made from 100% blue Weber agave at NOM 1466 (Tequila Tres Mujeres) in Amatitan, in Jalisco's Los Valles region. The agave is cooked in stone and brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented in stainless steel and double distilled in stainless pot stills, then aged at least twelve months in oak barrels as its anejo classification requires. It arrives in the Ship Edition decanter — a large, detailed aircraft-carrier bottle that is as much bar sculpture as tequila, also sold as the Aircraft Carrier Edition. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

The Aircraft Carrier in the Tequila Aisle
Casino Azul built its name on decanters that stop traffic — hand-blown glass sculptures filled with Los Valles tequila — and the Ship Edition is the fleet's flagship: an aircraft carrier, rendered in heavy glass at full 1.75L scale, weighing in at fifteen pounds on our shelf. The tequila inside follows the house sheet from Tequila Tres Mujeres in Amatitan, the lowland valley town west of Guadalajara where the agave cooks in brick ovens and the style runs earthy and ripe rather than highland-floral. It is a centrepiece bottle for the anejo drinker who also collects the glass. See Casino Azul's other decanters on the Casino Azul vendor page and more aged agave in our tequila collection.
Tasting Notes
Syndicated notes for Casino Azul Anejo describe a golden tequila with sweet fine leather, vanilla and a hint of fruit on the nose; an extremely smooth palate of mellow oak and ripe fruit over clean agave; and a medium, sweet finish with a gentle agave-pepper linger.
How to Enjoy
Neat, poured slowly — and pour it in front of your guests, because the decanter is half the occasion. More statement bottles are across our spirits collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ship Edition the same as the Aircraft Carrier Edition?
Yes — the same Casino Azul Anejo in the same ship-shaped decanter, sold under both names. The bottle is modelled on an aircraft carrier.
How big is the Casino Azul Ship Edition?
1.75L — a full magnum-format decanter, which is why it weighs around fifteen pounds. (One retailer lists a 750mL size at a similar price; Del Mesa's listing is the 1.75L, consistent with its shelf weight.)
How long is Casino Azul Anejo aged?
At least twelve months in oak barrels, the legal minimum for anejo. Longer figures quoted for other Casino Azul decanters do not apply to this bottling.
