Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley is a 750mL unpeated Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof), made from 100% Scottish-grown barley and trickle-distilled, matured and bottled on Islay. Head Distiller Adam Hannett assembles each batch as its own cask vatting, so The Classic Laddie carries no age statement — every batch is a distinct recipe, disclosed by the batch code on the bottle. It is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring, and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Islay's Unpeated Classic
Bruichladdich is the unpeated line from the distillery on the Rhinns of Islay, sister to peated Port Charlotte and super-heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, closed in 1994, and was revived in 2001; it has been owned by Rémy Cointreau since 2012 and became the first Scotch whisky company certified as a B Corp in 2020. Tasting Notes
Per the brand's published notes: barley sugar and a hint of mint on the nose, opening to wildflowers with caramelised fruit, lemon drops, honey and tangerine; sweet oak and barley on the palate with ripe green fruit, brown sugar and sweet malt; a smooth, well-rounded finish with a maritime edge.
How to Enjoy
Pour it neat to taste the barley first, then add a few drops of water — the brand's notes open up to honey and tangerine. More unpeated island malts are in our Scotch whisky collection.
