Bourbon Blended at 9,600 Feet
Breckenridge Distillery was founded by Bryan Nolt in the Colorado ski town it is named for, and altitude is its founding idea: at 9,600 feet the barrels breathe differently, and the distillery proofs its whiskey with Rocky Mountain snowmelt. The flagship is exactly what its name says — a blend, built by the distillery's blenders to show off the bourbons' individual qualities: house-distilled Colorado bourbon in the mix, a high-rye backbone, and a profile tuned for balance rather than brute oak. See the distillery's other expressions on the Breckenridge vendor page and across our bourbon whiskey collection.
Tasting Notes
The distillery's current notes describe a deep honey-amber bourbon with aromas of butterscotch, candied orange and apple; the palate brings dry cacao and brown sugar, finishing with lingering vanilla and white pepper.
How to Enjoy
Neat or with a splash of water to open the cacao and brown sugar; the rye backbone also carries an Old Fashioned well. More Colorado and craft bourbon is in our spirits collection.
