Bandero Blanco Tequila is a 750mL blanco bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the red clay soil of the Guachimontones foothills in Jalisco, Mexico. The piñas are steamed in a traditional brick oven for 20 to 30 hours, rested and cooled before crushing, then fermented long and slow with the producer's own yeast strain and well water, triple distilled and chill-filtered — with no chemical additives. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

A ROKiT Founder's Blanco, Built the Slow Way

Bandero was created by Jonathan Kendrick, co-founder and chairman of the ROKiT Group, as a small-batch, handmade tequila — and in 2023 John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of Patrón Spirits, joined the venture. The process page reads like a checklist of slow tequila: brick-oven cooking, a full day's rest before crushing, the house's own propagated yeast, its own well water, and a third distillation pass before chill filtration. The brand reports a PR%F Awards Double Gold for the Blanco in 2020, along with its Design Distinction for the leather-clad bottle. Tasting Notes

Per the brand: floral in aroma and flavour with sweet cooked-agave character and a creamy texture; older brand copy adds pear and peach notes over the red-clay agave base.

How to Enjoy

Neat or over a large cube to show the creamy texture, and a clean, additive-free base for a Margarita or Paloma. More blancos are in our spirits collection.
