Chardonnay From Two Terroirs, One Silver Bottle
The Cattier family — Montagne de Reims growers for more than 250 years, producers of the Armand de Brignac prestige range since 2006 — builds its Blanc de Blancs on a deliberate tension: classic Côte des Blancs Chardonnay for chalky finesse, blended with almost as much Montagne de Reims Chardonnay for body and fruit. Only the first, freshest portion of the press is used, the dosage wine rests a year in new French oak, and each silvered bottle is finished by hand with French pewter labels before it goes into its lacquered wooden box. Tasting Notes
Nose: Lightly buttered baked pastry, pear, hazelnut and gingerbread (official sheet). Palate: Guava, gooseberry and peach with cinnamon and vanilla. Finish: Fresh and mineral, elegantly crisp.
