Alma del Jaguar Blanco Tequila is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL blanco made from 100% Blue Weber agave at NOM 1414 (Feliciano Vivanco) in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico — a proprietary blend of 80% wild-yeast and 20% Champagne-yeast tequilas, bottled unfiltered by hand at the source. Alma del Jaguar was developed with Sergio Vivanco of NOM 1414, master distiller Sergio Cruz, and Adam Fodor of the International Tequila Academy, using just agave, water and yeast — no additives. Highland agave is slow-cooked in stone/brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented open in stainless steel and double-distilled in copper pots. A percentage of every bottle supports wild jaguar conservation in Mexico and the U.S., and the brand bottles in recycled glass with reclaimed agave-fiber labels.
Tasting profile (distillery notes): cooked agave, orange zest, honey, cucumber, sea salt and pepper on the nose; a citrus-forward palate with floral cooked agave, pineapple, clove, honeydew, bell pepper and a hint of brine; a crisp, peppery finish of orange, grapefruit, sea salt and mineral.
