El Diablo's Dance
KAH — "life" in ancient Mayan — builds every bottle as a Day of the Dead calavera, and each expression takes its design from a different country's tradition. The Reposado's yellow skull with its red-and-black devil motif honours a Peruvian tradition in which a dance for the Devil ends with tequila poured as an offering. Inside, the method is classic Finos: agave baked and shredded, fermented in stainless steel and double distilled under Master Distiller Arturo Fuentes, then rested in American oak until the agave picks up vanilla and caramel warmth. The series holds a Gold Medal from The Tequila Masters and 94 points from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, per the brand. Browse the rest of the range in our tequila collection and the reposado shelves, or visit the KAH Tequila vendor page.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense cooked agave with vanilla and caramel from the oak rest. Palate: Full-bodied and viscous — agave first, then vanilla and caramel sweetness rounding the edges. Finish: Warm and smooth, the oak spice fading over sweet agave.
How to Enjoy
Neat or over a single cube to show the oak-agave balance, and a standout in a Reposado Old Fashioned or a premium Margarita where the vanilla warmth reads through the lime.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does KAH mean? "Life" in ancient Mayan. The brand's hand-painted ceramic skull bottles celebrate Day of the Dead traditions — the Reposado's El Diablo design follows a Peruvian tradition; it is not a Halloween product.
How long is KAH Reposado aged? More than two months in American oak casks, per the producer — inside the legal reposado window of two to eleven months, long enough for vanilla and caramel to join the agave.
Where is KAH Tequila made? In the town of Tequila, Jalisco, at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos (NOM 1472), at the foot of Tequila hill — the producer named on KAH's official site.
