KAH Anejo Tequila
KAH Anejo Tequila is the black skull — 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL, made from 100% Blue Weber agave in the town of Tequila, Jalisco (NOM 1472, Fabrica de Tequilas Finos), double distilled and aged in American oak casks for at least 12 months. "KAH" means "life" in the ancient Mayan language, and every hand-finished ceramic skull bottle — no two alike — honours the Day of the Dead; the black anejo design draws on the Nicaraguan tradition of spending the night with the departed to keep the connection strong. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor.

Life, in a Black Skull
KAH — an Amber Beverage Group brand — built its identity on the calavera: the Day of the Dead skull, hand-crafted and hand-painted in ceramic so no two bottles leave the distillery identical. The anejo's black skull is the range's most solemn design, inspired by the Nicaraguan custom of lingering through the night in the graveyard to reinforce the bond with the dead. Inside is a valley tequila made the modern way at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos — autoclave-cooked agave, roller mill, stainless fermentation, double distillation — then rested in American oak past the anejo minimum. Find it in our tequila collection and the anejo shelves, or see the range on the KAH Tequila vendor page.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Powerful cooked agave with caramel and vanilla custard. Palate: The brand's own anchor trio — chocolate, tobacco and coffee — over powerful agave, with cocoa, toasted spice, cinnamon and black pepper. Finish: Warm and lingering, citrus and spice over charred oak and espresso.
How to Enjoy
The brand's own guidance is tequila neat at room temperature, to bring out aroma and taste. The official page also gives a Batanga serve — KAH Anejo with cola and lime over ice — for a lighter take.
