The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, Batch 13 is Speyside single malt at full power. Aged 10 years and bottled at natural cask strength — 59.8% ABV — in a 700mL bottle, Batch 13 is Master Distiller Billy Walker's latest selection from the distillery's prized cask stocks.
Matured in a quartet of casks — Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, Rioja red wine casks, and virgin oak — it's non-chill filtered and natural colour, exactly as it left the wood. Distilled near Aberlour at the foot of Ben Rinnes, GlenAllachie has been independently owned by Billy Walker and partners since 2017, and the Cask Strength batches are the distillery's flagship showcase of sherry-cask mastery.

Nose: mocha, crystallised ginger, and cinnamon, followed by mānuka honey and muscovado sugar, with treacle and maraschino cherries. Palate: cocoa, salted caramel, and warmed honey, then baking spices, blood orange, and molasses tart, finishing with glazed blackberries and fig syrup. Fruity, spicy, oaky, sweet — and unmistakably sherried.
