Alley 6 Harvest Gin is a once-a-year gin from Alley 6 Craft Distillery in Healdsburg, California — distilled from the pomace of Sonoma County Viognier wine grapes, then redistilled with botanicals including wild fennel and California bay laurel. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in 750mL, it is a grape-based, harvest-driven gin: floral, aromatic, and unmistakably Sonoma. It's available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Sonoma's Harvest, Distilled

Husband-and-wife team Krystle and Jason Jorgensen founded Alley 6 in 2012 as a true grain-to-glass Sonoma County distillery, and the Harvest Gin is its most terroir-driven spirit. Each year at harvest, local Viognier pomace is fermented and distilled in traditional direct-fire copper alembic pot stills to preserve the wine's floral aromatics, then run a final time through a column still to vapor-infuse the botanicals — fennel and bay laurel foraged locally, alongside juniper, long pepper, rose petals and ginger. The result is a gin that tastes like where it's from. Browse more gin or the Alley 6 lineup at Del Mesa.

Tasting Notes

Per the distillery and retailers: a floral, aromatic nose from the grape base; wild fennel and juniper berries leading an array of botanicals on the palate; an elegant, long-lasting finish.

How to Enjoy

A natural for a bright Gin & Tonic with a lemon twist, or a floral Martini that lets the grape base shine. Try the distillery's "North Side" — Harvest Gin with white grape juice, simple, lemon and mint.
