Filey Bay Peated Finish Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky

Filey Bay Peated Finish Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky is a 46% ABV, 700mL single malt from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery in Hunmanby on the Yorkshire coast — primarily matured in first-fill bourbon casks before a secondary maturation (finish) in peated casks, bringing the west coast of Scotland's smoke to the east coast of Yorkshire. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery is Yorkshire's first single malt whisky distillery and one of only a handful growing 100% of its barley for whisky production: every batch is made field-to-bottle with home-grown, regeneratively farmed barley and farm-sourced water. Peated Finish was the distillery's fastest-selling finished whisky on its debut and is now an archived release.

Tasting profile (distillery notes): light, fresh and coastal — caramel, peat smoke and citrus, soft and subtly smoky with a hint of citrus. Browse the Filey Bay brand collection, more whiskey, and the full spirits collection at Del Mesa Liquor.

Serving note: pour neat in a tulip glass; a few drops of water lift the coastal caramel above the gentle smoke.
