From Jamaica to Bardstown
Launched in September 2020, Exodus Rum starts with three Jamaican components — column-still rum aged in Canada in ex-Canadian whisky barrels, light-body pot-still rum from Worthy Park, and heavy-body pot-still rum also from Worthy Park — each aged 2–3 years in Jamaica. Proof and Wood's Dave Schmier then blended them in Bardstown, Kentucky and rested the blend a further two years in ex-American rye barrels, adding a layer of American oak and rye spice to the Jamaican funk. Tasting Notes
Nose of tropical fruits, ripe vegetables and light funk. The palate is vanilla, caramel, tobacco and butterscotch with a long, funky finish from the Worthy Park pot-still heart.
