Expresiones del Corazon Thomas H. Handy Anejo Tequila 2024 is a limited-edition 80-proof (40% ABV), 750mL anejo aged 19 months in barrels that previously held Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey — the annual collaboration between Corazon Tequila and Buffalo Trace Distillery, running since 2013. Crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave at Casa San Matias in the Jalisco highlands, it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
Thomas H. Handy is Buffalo Trace's uncut, unfiltered rye — bold, spicy, and highly allocated — and its barrels bring that rye spice straight into the anejo. Corazon slow-cooks its agave in stone ovens and mills it with a traditional tahona before resting the tequila in the ex-rye wood, layering rye-driven baking spice and oak over agave sweetness. The Expresiones del Corazon series is released in very limited quantities each year and is collected by tequila and whiskey fans alike.
