Clase Azul 25th Anniversary Mexico Edition Reposado Tequila is a 40% ABV (80 proof) limited-edition reposado honoring 25 years of Clase Azul, reimagined by Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco from the brand's signature Reposado. Crafted from 100% Highland Blue Weber agave — part of it milled on a traditional stone tahona, with an extended fermentation to accentuate citrus and fruit — it rests eight months in two different first-use American whiskey casks. The release is limited to 9,125 individually numbered decanters (one for every day since the brand's founding), and it is the first Clase Azul decanter ever produced entirely in the house's cobalt blue, with 25 hand-painted platinum brushstrokes — one for each year of the brand's history. Available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

A Quarter Century in Cobalt Blue

The 25th Anniversary decanter is a collector's piece before the tequila ever leaves the glass: the feathered dandelion-seed motif — drawn from seeds carried by the wind — is the visual metaphor for Clase Azul's expansion across the world over 25 years, and every decanter is shaped, fired, and painted by hand by more than 100 artisans in Santa Maria Canchesda, Mexico. Inside, the reposado is brilliant golden amber and medium-bodied: agave syrup, banana, toasted coconut, soft vanilla, and a hint of caramel on the nose, with caramel, vanilla, almond, and agave syrup on the palate and a toasted-oak finish with cocoa and a slight earthy mineral character. How to Enjoy

Serve neat at room temperature in a tulip glass to read the vanilla, caramel, and toasted-oak notes the cask aging brings — a single ice cube keeps it bright at 40% ABV. This is a pour-it-slowly decanter, not a mixing bottle.
