The King's Path, Poured Pink
"Le Chemin du Roi" — the King's Path — launched in 2018 when Jackson, through Sire Spirits, partnered with Reims house Champagne Castelnau to build a Champagne "for winners only," king chess piece and all. The Rose gets its colour the traditional way, from still red Pinot Noir folded into the three-grape base rather than from extended skin contact alone, and it is built like a serious wine underneath the spectacle: first-press juice only, a fifth of the red component held as reserve wine, and more than four years resting on its lees before release. Find it in our champagne and rose wine ranges, or browse the house on the Le Chemin du Roi vendor page.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Ripe black cherry with lightly toasted notes, in a fine, elegant register (winemaker's notes). Palate: Full and well-rounded — strawberry and black currant, red fruit with light minty notes and a touch of grilled almond, small delicate bubbles. Finish: Crisp and fresh, structure and balance intact.
How to Enjoy
Serve well chilled in a white-wine glass so the red-fruit depth opens up. It is a celebration bottle that also works at the table — salmon, duck, or berry desserts all meet it halfway.
