Casa Vieja Blanco Tequila
Casa Vieja Blanco Tequila is a 40% ABV (80 proof), 750mL blanco tequila from Grupo Tequilero Mexico — 100% estate-grown Agave Azul from Arandas in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, twice distilled and bottled to capture the full fruit of the agave. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.
This is the Casa Vieja trio before the barrels: highland agave grown at 1,500–1,700 meters in reddish clay soil, where cool nights and thin air push sweetness into the plant. Grupo Tequilero Mexico — family-owned since 1997 — grows, distills, and bottles its own agave in Arandas, and the Blanco is where that estate fruit speaks plainest.
Tasting profile: luminous and bright with silver shades; herbal citrus, pecan and almond over the house signature of cooked agave, closing smooth on the palate. Browse the Casa Vieja brand collection, more blanco tequila, and tequila at Del Mesa Liquor.
Serving note: neat to taste the highland fruit, or in a margarita built on real agave character.
