A Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged ten years in new charred American oak, bottled at cask strength, presented in a bespoke lacquered wooden case resembling an antique hunting rifle case, with an embossed emerald-and-gold bottle, inlaid clover emblem and age placard, and a mallard-duck topper. This is a classic well-aged bourbon with intense depth: the official notes cite a medley of spices, dark chocolate, smoked hickory, dried date, licorice, black cherry, dark sugars and molasses — the dark chocolate and smoked hickory intertwining with dried dates and licorice, the dark sugars adding complexity. For whisky collectors, the rifle-case presentation and DU conservation tie-in make it a display piece that happens to pour at 104 proof.
