The whiskey is serious on its own merits: sourced from Ross & Squibb (formerly MGP) in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, built on a 48% corn / 46% rye / 3% malted rye / 3% malted barley mash, non-chill filtered. Official notes: sweet cream and brown sugar with cracked black pepper, spice, caramel, vanilla, and citrus zest on the nose; a rich body of baking spice, honey, toffee, and brûlée; a bold finish of caramel, spice, cherry, and lingering roasted nuts.
