Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rye Cask Finish is a 45% ABV (90 proof), 750mL limited-edition rum — the second release in Bacardí's five-year Cask Finish series. Each bottle carries a unique marque number and production year. It is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

Rum Finished Like a Whiskey

The Cask Finish series was built to pull whiskey drinkers into premium rum, and this expression does it with Kentucky rye casks — gingerbread, maple sugar, and a hint of rye spice layered over Bacardí's eight-year Caribbean base. Higher proof than the standard Ocho at 90 proof, it drinks like a sipping rum with genuine whiskey-drinker appeal. Explore more aged rum or browse the full Bacardí lineup at Del Mesa Liquor.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Gingerbread, maple sugar, and a hint of rye spiciness (brand notes).

Palate: Caramel, vanilla, white pepper, and caramelized brown sugar over velvety rum warmth.

Finish: Expansive and warming with lingering rye spice, smoke, and wood.

How to Enjoy

Drink it neat to catch the rum-to-rye marriage at its fullest, or over one large cube. It holds up in an Old Fashioned-style build and makes a premium dark base for stirred cocktails.
