Ardnamurchan sits on one of Scotland's remotest peninsulas in Lochaber — Adelphi's distillery (built 2014), famously the first in Scotland to run entirely on locally sourced renewable heat and power, bottled in lightweight recycled glass. Official notes (via Royal Mile Whiskies/Master of Malt): lime leaf, lemon balm, shortbread, and pineapple upside-down cake on the nose; nutmeg, dried ginger, orange blossom, smoked manuka honey, and farmy smoke on the palate; a spicy, punchy, bright finish.
