A Solid Whiskey for The Jack Carr Fan.

The nose is light, but strong as the proof makes itself apparent. The palate is somewhat light, but sweet, spicy with light woodiness, and the notes of apple are really prevalent. There's strength to the whiskey but nothing overpowering as the ABV seems pretty well balanced on the tongue. However, that 125 proof becomes apparent as it travels down the back of your throat if you savor it too quickly, or in anything other than small, calculated sips. With that said, this is a very enjoyable sipping whiskey. Would I immediately identify it as being aged 16 years? No, it honestly doesn't seem that matured. However, if you're a fan of Jack Carr, and don't mind the price tag, this is enjoyable and definitely worth adding to your collection. Even at a steep price for a relatively unknown whiskey, I don't regret my purchase at all.

#3 of the Wooten Young bourbons

For the initial taste, I had to open the 12 and 15-year Wooten Young bourbons and I was correct in my assumptions, the 15, 12, and then the 16. the tastes of the 6 years WY came in a close tie for 3rd with the 16-year.
