Barrell Craft Spirits Private Release #DHC4 is a 117.86-proof (58.93% ABV) blend of Kentucky whiskeys — the largest component an 18-year-old Kentucky whiskey — married in a single cask and finished in a Marine Layer Jentoft Vineyard Pinot Noir barrel. Non-chill filtered, 750mL.
Barrell's Private Release series is founder Joe Beatrice's "most ambitious project to date": each release is a unique cask-strength blend, married in one barrel and individually finished — most runs number only 150–180 bottles. This is independent blending at its most extreme, and the Pinot Noir finish makes DHC4 unlike anything else in the top-shelf American whiskey case.

Chestnut in the glass. Full-bodied aroma of dark berries; the palate layers intricate dark berries, silky vanilla, and a hint of oak over deep Kentucky whiskey character — long, rich, balanced, and lingering.
