Yellowstone bourbon dates to 1872 and takes its name from America's first national park. Since 2015, each year's Limited Edition has been Master Distiller Stephen Beam's annual exploration of top-shelf blends and finishes — and after years of single special finishes, 2024 moves to a double finish. Beam, a seventh-generation distiller from the Beam and Dant families who brought the Yellowstone brand back to his family at Limestone Branch in Lebanon, Kentucky, blended 7- and 17-year-old bourbons and finished them in both French brandy and cognac casks, seeking nuances from different spectrums of distilled grapes within the same style of spirit. Rich amber. The distillery's official 2024 notes: a bright aroma of pear, panela sugar, ripe apple and leather; a thick, soft palate of American basswood honey, ripe stone fruits and citrus, with traditional caramel and vanilla; and a warm, inviting finish of honey, Bosc pear, butterscotch and leather.
