Westward Whiskey Milestone American Single Malt Edition No 4
57% ABV (114 proof) | 750mL | No age statement | 21-barrel solera of Westward's oldest whiskeys | Hungarian oak + French-oak Armagnac cask finish | Portland, Oregon — Westward Milestone Edition No. 4 is the fourth annual pinnacle release from Portland's American single malt pioneer: a vatting drawn from a 21-barrel solera of some of the distillery's oldest stocks, with the majority undergoing secondary maturation in Hungarian oak and large French-oak Armagnac casks. Created by blending expert Miles Munroe and inspired by the vintage-season traditions of Cognac and Armagnac, it reveals what the brand calls a deeper, more mature side of Westward. Released Q4 2026. Available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor in San Diego, CA.
Because the solera is continuously refreshed, no age statement is possible — the number on the label is the proof, and at 114 it's the boldest Milestone yet. Expect Manuka honey, gardenia, and coconut over earthy cedar on the nose, then brown sugar, split oak, apricot, fig, and leather on the palate, finishing with lemon rind, bright cherry, tobacco, and espresso affogato. Among American single malts, the solera-plus-Armagnac-cask construction is genuinely unusual. Prior Milestone editions carried a $250 SRP.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Westward Milestone series?
Westward's annual flagship limited release — a vatting from a solera of the distillery's oldest whiskeys, finished in distinctive casks. Edition No. 4 is the 2026 release.
Why is there no age statement?
The solera system is continuously refreshed with new whiskey each year, so no single age can be stated.
Is Milestone a bourbon?
No — it's an American single malt: 100% malted barley, distilled and matured in Portland, Oregon.
What does the Armagnac cask add?
The large French-oak Armagnac casks layer dried-fruit and savory depth over Westward's malt character, inspired by vintage brandy traditions.
