Named for the First Pendleton Round-Up

In 1910 the town of Pendleton, Oregon staged the first Pendleton Round-Up, the rodeo that became a century-old emblem of the American West — and this bourbon, the Pendleton brand's first-ever bourbon and its first new whiskey release in nearly a decade, carries that year on the label. A blend of high-rye and low-rye bourbons aged ten years in white American oak, it is cut to proof with glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood and bottled in Hood River, Oregon. The bottle itself is tooled like a prize rodeo saddle, bucking horse and all. Pendleton Whisky is the official whisky of the Professional Bull Riders and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Tasting Notes

Golden amber in the glass. The official notes: rich maple syrup and toasted oak on the nose; luscious caramel sweetness on the palate, balanced by creamy vanilla and a warming rye spice; a lingering finish of rye warmth with a pleasant tingle.

How to Enjoy

Pour it neat or over a single large cube to let the caramel and rye spice unfold. The brand's signature serve is the Cowboy Gold Rush — its take on the modern classic, built for this bourbon's maple-and-oak depth.
