Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut Gin 2022

Every year, we scour the planet on a quest to find the Species Rara, that one extra special, wunderbar ingredient that will create a truly out-of-this-world sensory experience... and sometimes the best idea is quite literally under foot!

This year's botanical special guest is Woodruff, aka Galium Odoratum, aka "The Master Of The Forest" or quite simply Waldmeister as we call it in the Black Forest.

Woodruff can be found in the woods around here from mid-April. Their small, white buds start blossoming in early May, and bristle-covered fruits form around the beginning of September.

The 2022 Monkey 47 Distiller’s Cut is a spicy and elegant dry gin that features delicate, almost ethereal top notes of cinnamon and vanilla against a backdrop of extraordinary density and complexity. It’s a remarkable taste experience, and not only for those who appreciate the refined aroma of woodruff.
