The blend reads like a map of Scotch history: ghost grain whiskies from closed distilleries Port Dundas and Caledonian, ghost Islay malt from Port Ellen, 1980s–90s vintage malts (Benrinnes, Cragganmore, Cameronbridge), and contemporary experimental whiskies including Roseisle malt matured in ex-wine casks and a Teaninich "spicy chocolate malt experiment" for tonka notes. Press descriptions find tropical fruit, honeyed vanilla, dark chocolate, warm baking spice, and a wisp of distant smoke. It is presented in a Rousteing-designed Baccarat crystal decanter reinterpreting Johnnie Walker's square bottle — and just 1,500 individually numbered decanters exist worldwide. Tasting notes
Nose: exotic fruit (mango, pineapple, papaya), stone fruit, honeyed vanilla, dark chocolate, warm baking spice, wisp of smoke (press descriptions). Palate: silky and layered — dried apricot, chocolate, spiced malt, toasted oak, light peat, salted caramel whisper. Finish: long — gentle peat smoke, warming spice, soft fruit and malt sweetness.
