Like an Oasis in the Desert
Named for the "Golden City" of Rajasthan and launched in the UK at Diwali 2018, Jaisalmer was Radico Khaitan's first craft gin — a deliberate showcase of Indian botanicals rather than a London Dry imitation. The black-and-gold bottle carries the black buck from the Jaisalmer royal flag with the Golden Fort between its horns. It has since collected a deep shelf of international awards, including Best Asian Gin at the Gin Guide Awards 2019 and Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2023. Tasting Notes
Classic juniper structure lifted by vivid Indian aromatics — citrus peel, lemongrass, and Darjeeling tea brightness over an earthy vetiver and cubeb-pepper spice base. Smooth and layered rather than juniper-forward, with a warm, gently spiced finish.
How to Enjoy
A natural gin and tonic with a premium tonic and a twist of orange or a sprig of lemongrass. It also makes a distinctive martini or Negroni — the vetiver and cubeb spice stand up well to vermouth and bitter liqueurs.
