A Year at Sea in Bourbon Barrels
Goslings launched Spirited Seas in 2023 as its first ocean-aged expression — an experiment in letting Mother Nature take the reins of maturation. In 2020 the company sent 60 first-fill bourbon barrels of its proprietary aged dark-rum blend aboard the Oleander, Bermuda's supply lifeline, for more than 280 days of Atlantic crossings. Tasting Notes
Nose: subtle oak and allspice with a maritime salinity underneath. Palate: hints of stone fruit, caramel apple and salted dark chocolate over elegant oak. Finish: smooth, clean and lingering with spiced dark oak.
